Bhutta (Corn) Rice


Here is what we need:

Rice - 2 cups
Jeera - 3 tsps
Corn - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Green chillies - 2
Water - 3 cups
Salt (to taste)

Method:
  • Wash rice and soak in water for 15 mins.
  • Heat ghee and fry jeera & corn for just 2 mins.
  • Strain water from rice and add it to above mixture. Fry again for 2 mins.
  • Pour the mixture into the cooker. Add 3 cups water along with salt and half sliced chillies.
  • Pressure cook just for one whistle or in case of rice cooker till it switches off automatically.
  • Serve hot with any vegetable gravy.
